1. INVITATION TO TENDER

The Contracting Authority for the purpose of this Invitation to Tender is Newcastle Brewing Company. (Mr Leo Bell)

Their address is Arch 2, Stepney Bank, Ouseburn, Newcastle upon Tyne.

Newcastle Brewing Company is looking to transform a retail unit in the Bigg Market, Newcastle into a bar and restaurant. 

2. BACKGROUND

Mr Leo Bell owns and successfully operates Arch 2 in the Ouseburn area of Newcastle. This venue is a popular brew house and Thali food outlet. Mr Bell is hoping to capitalise on his experience within the industry to form another equally successful venue in the city centre.

3. SPECIFICATION OF REQUIREMENTS

3.1 Services/Work/Equipment to be provided:

All items as shown on the drawings to be quoted and tendered for with the exception of any Client direct, e.g kitchen, air conditioning and bar equipment (glass wash etc)

3.2 Timescales

Website Advert – 29/04/2019

Deadline  – 22/05/2019

Review of bids – 29/05/2019

Appointment of supplier – 05/06/2019

It is expected that the contract will have a three week lead in time with completion within an 8 – 10 week period.

4. PROJECT TEAM

This is the team within Dakota House of Design, led by Deborah Hodgson who will work the successful bidder.   

5. QUALITY ASSURANCE

Tenderers should describe their procedures for quality assuring their work stating whether they hold a recognised quality management certification.

6. TENDER SUBMISSIONS

Tenders will be evaluated against the award criteria as set out within Section 7 and tenderers should also demonstrate within their tender proposal the following assurance that they have:-

  • Capability to meet the contract requirements;
  • Quality and experience of the individual(s) delivering the contract; including evidence of a proven track record;
  • Value for money and added value

7. AWARD CRITERIA

The contract will be awarded to the most economically advantageous tender evaluated against the following criteria.

Ability to meet technical specifications 20%
   

8. QUERIES

To ensure a fair and transparent tender process no approach of any kind in connection with this tender should be made to any other person within, or associated with Newcastle Brewing Ltd OR Dakota House of Design. Failure to comply may result in disqualification from the process.

The completed Tender and associated documents must be submitted to Mr Leo Bell
